When it comes to stage curtains for schools, safety, durability, and presentation matter most. At Equus Fabrics, we supply and manufacture fire-rated stage curtains in Canada that meet CAN/ULC-S109 flame-retardant standards — perfect for auditoriums, gymnasiums, and drama departments that need both performance and peace of mind.
All our school stage curtains come with Fire Rated certificates, ensuring full compliance with Canadian fire codes. Whether your school is replacing old drapes or building a new auditorium, we provide documentation showing your curtains meet all fire-retardant standards — a crucial requirement for safety inspections and insurance compliance.
We know schools are busy places. That’s why our curtain sewing service makes installation easy. Just send us your stage dimensions, and our in-house workroom will sew the curtains to your exact specifications — complete with hems, grommets, and pleats. From elementary school gym curtains to full high-school stage setups, we make it a quick and hassle-free process.
Want to make your stage uniquely yours? Equus Fabrics can custom print your school’s logo or mascot directly onto your curtains using our state-of-the-art dye-sublimation printer. We can print vibrant designs, school crests, or subtle patterns onto durable polyester velour or IFR poplin — giving your stage a professional, personalized look that wows audiences.
We offer all major types of stage curtains for schools, including:
Main Stage Curtains (Proscenium Drapes): The front curtains that define your stage’s first impression.
Valance Curtains: A shorter header curtain that hides rigging and lighting.
Legs and Borders: Used to frame the sides of the stage and hide backstage areas.
Backdrop Curtains & Cycloramas: Ideal for projecting lights, shadows, or printed logos.
Acoustic & Blackout Curtains: For multipurpose rooms and performances needing light and sound control.
Each type can be tailored to your exact stage dimensions and performance needs.
