Its soft, almost silky smooth texture goes compliments the curtains by hanging like a dream.

But I must warn you, whenever one chooses backout the room will be pitch black. If a vampire where ever to choose a lining this would be it.

When selecting blackout lining for your curtains, consider the level of light blockage it provides to match your preferences, the quality of the material ensuring durability, the fit with your curtain dimensions, the design that complements your decor, and the ease of installation to seamlessly integrate into your space.

Blackout Pros:

  1. Complete Darkness: Blocks out external light sources, ideal for better sleep quality.

Blackout Cons:

  1. Higher Cost: May be more expensive compared to regular curtains.
  2. Limited Natural Light: Blocks out natural light completely, which may not be preferred in all settings.
  3. Holes. Workrooms may have trouble sewing and whenever holes show the light will penetrate through them.

Blackout lining cost

The cost of blackout lining can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the material, the brand, the size of the curtains, and any additional features it may offer.

Generally, blackout lining tends to be slightly more expensive than regular curtain linings due to its specialized light-blocking properties.

Buying blackout by the roll as opposed to per yard makes a big difference. If the blackout would be a custom job made by a seamstress has to be factored in. Furthermore, if the blackout is already made to fit on a curtain rod all has to be factored in.

Usually the price for blackout curtains can run you anywhere from $7.00 up to $25.00 USD per yard.
