Not every backdrop should be printed on the same generic fabric.
A backdrop used behind a keynote speaker may need a smooth, matte surface that photographs cleanly without glare. A stage installation may call for something heavier with a more substantial drape. A product launch might benefit from velvet, satin or a fabric with more visual depth.

Conference centres, hotels, theatres, convention halls and other public venues may require flame-resistance documentation before fabric can be installed.
Equus Fabrics supplies several fire-rated and inherently flame-resistant fabric options for commercial projects. Depending on the selected material and venue requirements, documentation may be available for standards such as CAN/ULC-S109 or NFPA 701.
Let us know about the fire-rating requirement at the beginning of the project. We can recommend an appropriate printable base cloth and provide the available supporting documentation for review by the venue or project representative.

A backdrop can carry a single oversized company logo, a repeating sponsor pattern, photography, branded colours or a complete scenic design.
From a ten-foot logo drape behind a speaker to a much larger background spanning a conference stage, each project is produced to the required finished dimensions.
How the backdrop is finished is just as important as how it is printed.
Our workroom can fabricate the backdrop for your specific installation method. This can include pole pockets for pipe-and-drape systems, grommets for hanging, hook-and-loop attachments, reinforced edges, weighted bottoms or multiple panels professionally joined into one larger finished piece.
If the backdrop is wider than the selected fabric, we plan the panel layout and seam placement around the artwork. This helps prevent important text, faces or logos from being interrupted by a seam.
We can also assist with tracks and hardware when the project requires a more complete drapery system.
Most custom printed fabric backdrop projects can be completed within approximately one to three weeks after the artwork, fabric and final specifications have been approved.
