At Equus Fabrics, we supply fabric for churches across Canada — not for clothing, but for creating sacred, professional, and welcoming spaces.
From Sunday services to Christmas concerts, churches need fabrics that perform beautifully:
Stage & Sanctuary Drapes — fire-rated velour and commando cloth to control light and sound.
Acoustic & Backdrop Panels — duvetyne and IFR velours for clear sound and polished presentation.
Sheer Voiles & Decorative Linens — soft, elegant layers for weddings, altars, or seasonal displays.
Custom Digital Prints — banners, scripture walls, and event backdrops printed on flame-retardant cloth.
All materials are available by the roll or yard, fire-rated to CAN/ULC-S109, and shipped directly from Vaughan, Ontario.
Whether you’re outfitting a new worship stage or updating sanctuary décor, Equus Fabrics helps you do it safely, beautifully, and affordably.
In addition to stage curtains and sanctuary drapery, churches often require durable upholstery fabric for pew kneelers. Kneelers experience constant pressure and daily use, which means the fabric must be commercial-grade, quiet, and fire-rated — very different from decorative or drapery textiles.
Most church kneelers are upholstered using fire-retardant commercial vinyl or heavy-duty upholstery fabric, installed over high-density padding. These materials are designed to withstand years of kneeling while remaining easy to clean and compliant with institutional fire-safety requirements.
Fire compliance is just as important for kneeling upholstery as it is for church curtains. Upholstery materials used on pew kneelers typically meet CAL 117 or NFPA fire standards, making them suitable for churches, chapels, and worship halls that require documented safety compliance.
When churches renovate or upgrade sanctuaries, pew kneelers are often addressed alongside fire-rated stage curtains, altar backdrops, and acoustic drapery, allowing materials to be coordinated in colour, durability, and certification.
