Churches and worship spaces across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) require fabrics that are safe, durable, and appropriate for regular use — without relying on overseas suppliers or uncertified materials.
At Equus Fabrics, we supply fire-rated curtains and stage fabrics for churches throughout Toronto and the GTA. Our fabrics meet NFPA 701 and CAN/ULC-S109 fire standards and are suitable for permanent installations, sanctuary stages, altars, choir areas, and acoustic control applications.
We work with churches, consultants, and installers who need code-compliant fabric supplied locally, in practical quantities, with clear specifications.
Church environments place unique demands on fabric. Materials must be:
Fire-rated and code compliant
Quiet and light-absorbing
Durable for weekly or daily use
Appropriate for sacred spaces
Available in consistent colours and repeat quantities
Our church fabrics are commonly used in both traditional and contemporary sanctuaries, from historic churches to modern multi-purpose worship halls.
We regularly supply fire-rated fabric for:
Sanctuary stage curtains
Altar and choir backdrops
Seasonal stage masking
Projection and AV light controla
Acoustic softening for sermons and music
Temporary or permanent worship installations
These applications often require roll quantities rather than decorative yardage, which is why churches across the GTA choose a wholesale fabric supplier rather than retail drapery stores.
Inherently Fire Retardant (not topically treated)
Soft, quiet, and light-absorbing
Ideal for sanctuary stages, altars, and choir backdrops
Available in multiple weights (15 oz, 23 oz, 25 oz)
Matte black, light-absorbing fabric
Commonly used for masking, AV, and projection control
Suitable for temporary or permanent church installations
Used behind banners, stages, or windows

Fire-rated options available for code compliance
